Isaac's Market Simulator is an educational app for learning how the stock market works using simulated cash. No real money is ever at risk.
No. All trades, cash balances, and portfolios in the app are simulated for educational purposes only. The app does not connect to a brokerage and cannot place real trades.
Prices are fetched from public market data sources. By default the app uses our backend (which proxies NASDAQ data). For more frequent updates you can enter your own free Finnhub API key in Settings → API Key.
Visit finnhub.io, sign up for a free account, and copy the API key from your dashboard into the app's Settings screen.
Premium unlocks Isaac's curated tier portfolios ($1k, $5k, $10k, $100k) with their full holdings, live performance, and allocation charts. Premium is $1.99/month or $19.99/year, auto-renewing. You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings.
On iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Isaac's Market Simulator → Cancel. On Android: Play Store → Profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Isaac's Market Simulator → Cancel.
Portfolio data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes that data. We do not have a copy on a server.
